A Prayer.

Father,

I will not be shaken to anything, for I trust in thou,

Here I bow down before you with utmost respect and fear.

Listen to the prayers of my heart, prayers that do not ask for possessions but rather plead

for cheerful, calm, and lovely days.

All I aspire in life is absolute radiance,

An ability to radiate love, joy, health, well-being, and peace.

Make me lie down in green pastures and lead me beside the quiet waters,

I praise you for every step I leap, every bread I break and every breath I take.

Let me stay far from human negativities,

Let me guard myself against them steeping in my soul.

Teach me how to live, teach me how to love,

Let me not be ignorant of my conscience.

Let me not forget my failures in my success,

Let me not forget my success in my failures.

Give me the ability to love my neighbor as I love myself,

Let my eye see every human equally,

Let my hands work for the greater good,

Let my words be free of bias and rhetoric,

Let me not hurt anyone deliberately or accidentally,

Let there be a unison between my thought and action,

Let me be bound in gratitude to every person who helped me,

Let me hold respect for others at the same time earn respect for myself,

Let not anything impede my determination,

  

Let there be Love and Goodness in all the days of my life;
